Has anyone ever seen an 88-S like this before? At first look I thought to myself, "What a terrible thing someone did to this coin". When I got it home I took a closer look under the scope and discovered the marks were in the dies themselves. There are similar marks obv and rev. All marks are on the field. The coin wasn't perfect to begin with, but it has made for an unattractive coin. I'm debating whether I should send it in for grading and what it might come back as. Would they put a notation about the dies? Any have an opinion? Couldn't poat a pic. I'll try again later.
