i really cant tell you but I think it is an 1888, but in one of the pics it looks like 1886 so, maybe someone else can help you

Tough call on this one, try an acetone dip it might help clean it up a bit to show that last number.

I dated the nickel. Good news is that the last digit turned out to be a 5!
Bad news, the 3rd digit was a 9 :(

I had actually suspected it was an 189- coin. It vaguely looks more like a 9 in some of the photos.

^^ agreed. The curve on the worn "9" looks different than the curve on the "8". Didn't notice it at first though
