You might want to search the forum for this.It has been posted before,or ask in the main forum again.
All I know is that there is a law prohibiting sending coins for some obscure government reasons ( like money laundering and this sort of nonsense).Make sure you don't call them coins when you send them, and don't do like me: a roll into an envelope.Put them in a box and call them: numismatic tokens, metal samples,i even call them once hockey memorabilia .
I've purchased some Australian coins from Downies and that's what they call them: metal samples.Customs didn't know what to do of that ( they're not very bright to start with),and just released them no charge.

Thank you guys,I went to the post office today, and she looked at me like I was crazy. She told me there was no law that says you can't mail coins, but just to make sure you insure them,as you would a collectible or anything else of value. She even said she has mailed them herself,as she collects too,how neat.sn31.

I have gotten alot of coins via letter mail from ebay... they just use a bubble letter and some card board... good way to send cheaper items.
