I was in the middle of a Back to the Future trilogy marathon tonight and came across the following scene. The Doc and Marty go back in time to 1955 to save the universe. Doc -- now an experienced time traveler -- takes out a case marked "Emergency Money" and gives Marty $50 from the 1914 section. Here's the screenshot. How many of these can we identify?

if you get the chance, the BBC-TV series "Goodnight Sweetheart" portrays a time traveller who supports himself by trafficking commodities from the 1990s to the 1940s, and vice versa, relying on price differentials. The big issue being, to have enough money at both ends of the spectrum.
Reasonably clever, and very witty.

One of my favourite BBC productions. I highly recommend it.

The reality is that IF he can travel in time... why doesn't he just carry all those "old money" in great condition and resale in today market to collectors and get a whole bunch of LED flash light (or instant coffee & powder milk) back in time to sell for more "old money".... no need to carry "commodities"
