I was just about to put a dollar into the soda machine today when I looked at the serial number.... C05644650F Series 2006 It's not in great shape, several folds and a little crinkly but not too bad for a circulation find I guess.

Good for you! I haven't ever found a radar note, and I've been looking for years. In fact, this past year I've not even found a single star note. I'm definitely in a real drought!

Not that great . I have found two dollar radars in the past 5 months and I have looked through about 10000 to 15000 dollars worth of ones. My guess is about 1 in 5000 give or take a little, but I am also curious about the real number. That would take math that I don't feel like doing though .

Sorry, no pictures...I already gave it to a friend. I don't really collect currency, I just like checking it to see what I can find.

Congrats! Yes, the odds of finding a radar are approx. 1 in 10,000. That is the statistical odds, but in reality it is probably a little different. $1 bills are only printed up through 96000000, and there are some bills that are not printed (e.g. 00000000) which technically is the last radar. So there are some bills numbers that we will probably never see. In addition, there are bills that they almost always pull out to check for quality. Also a print run goes from 00000001-96000000, but sometimes they stop halfway through. I looked at bills for 10 years before I found my first radar. You should always look at the number of every bill you touch. Look at this thread - https://goccf.com/t/58438. That was in circulation! I got a new pack from the bank that had 82222222, 82222228, 82222282, and 82222288 in it. My best find ever was 00000001. Just like you always check your coins, you should always check your bills for good numbers!
