I Found ~$450 In 1963 Banknotes. - Coin Community Forum

rideit New Member United States 3 Posts	Posted 02/15/2010 6:56 pm They are all MINT, unfolded, still in the pay-packets that they came in. I am not a collector, but they are in unusually perfect shape. Mostly $20.00's, some Tens fives and ones. Any advice/thoughts? Report this Post to the Staff

rideit New Member United States 3 Posts	Posted 02/15/2010 7:29 pm Well, my grand-mother in law died ~3 years ago. We inherited some really nice bedroom cabinets. We moved recently, so I removed all of the drawers to make it a bit lighter...deep in the back of one drawer, I found 3-4 manila pay packets, with the money in them, straight from the bank. What is interesting is that the grandma was rich, she didn't really have to work, so I don't know why she was squirelling away money, but there you have it. I imagine $450 was a heck of a private little fund in 1963! Report this Post to the Staff
