Hi all,

I bought these 2 Morgan dollars off ebay ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...RK:MEWNX:IT) the other week, and I can't make up my mind if I like them or not?
Yes they look good in a small picture frame on my wall, but on the other hand I can't stop thinking that 2 Morgan dollars have been de-faced by being cut up

I think two nice Morgans were destroyed, interesting to see. But I can't say I like them.

they are interesting to see but any time a beautiful coin is destroyed I don't like it. but if you only wanted them to put in the picture frame and you like it then that's all that matters

There was a time when cut-out coins like this were popular for jewelry. I see cut-out mercs every now and then. I suppose they may make a nice necklace pendant, but I always wonder how they would have looked complete in a nice album or set.

No I don't like them. There is jewelry galore of many kinds better to wear than destroyed US coins.
If you have to wear a coin, safety pin it in a plastic flip to your lapel.

Now if such things were made of Chinese counterfeit Morgans, I would say it could be a good idea.

Not a big fan-my father in law had a tie pin made from a buffalo nickel-didnt care for that one much either. I guess I hate to see the coin destroyed, but that is just me.

I like it better than a worn down pocket piece.
