My niece that bought the 1914d fake (alterd) Lincoln Cent. I gave her a 1944 Walker and a 1899 Barber half for it so she would not loose interest in the hobby. She really enjoys reading the forum. If you get a chance say hi Katie, she will get a kick.

Hi, Katie, what a nice uncle you have.

Keep collecting coins, all of us at some time have made mistakes, so not to worry.

BTW, for those that are curious, this thread and this thread have more information on the 1914-D that he is referring to.
Rest in Peace

Howdy there, Princess!

Save your cull pennies! When squashed by a train they are about dime size.

Hello Katie ... Best of luck on building your collection and glad you read the forum. I learn a lot reading the posts myself. For example, if it were not for CCF topics posted, I would not have been aware of Chinese counterfeits and other altered and fake coins and I would have never suspected them being so frequently sold.

Now you're well on your way with 2 nice collections!

(I'm sorry you got burned with your bad 1914D Lincoln.)

Your Uncle seams like a nice guy so get him to buy you as many coins as possible before he changes. We do that when we get old you know.
