I've noticed on this forum that everyone seems to use Dansco Albums. I haven't read much about Intercept Shield on here, so I was wondering if anyone uses them or has anything against them that I should be aware of.

I have 2 of their albums, one for Kennedys and one for the Presidential dollars, and I really like them.

I was thinking about picking up another album or 2 to fill while I roll search.

Should I get more of the Intercept line for this or buy a Dansco?

I've heard of the Dansco but not the Intercept Shield. Personally, I use a heavy Duty binder and 2x2's to store my coins.

I like the concept of the Intercept shield albums, I just wish they made albums that held either airtites, or their airtites were round (and also would go in the album).

I have been using Dansco albums for over 25 years now. No problems, no complaints.

It is important to note that the albums are not air tight, so where you keep the albums will affect the coins in them. Low humidity and stable temperature are ideal.

i have had problems- on my ASE and silver mexican libertads. I have always kept them in a dry cool place but for some reason they started to tone. I switch them to air-tites.

Intercept shield concept is perfect for silver proof coins, ASE's or any coin which you would like to preserve its present state but Dansco album was never a problem for me because I liked toned coins over the years. Its just like saying "ageing wine in an oak barrel".
As the years moves on, if you notice the nice transformation of your coin into a nice hue (toning) you tend to be attached to it and prefer not to sell it. But you also have to look in details carefully that your coins might be getting some verdigris (greenish like substance) then in that, case do something with it.
So it will depend on your purpose of your collection, might as well have both Dansco and intercept shield albums
