Hi,

Basically the coin was struck twice. If you look on the left, you can see the inscription curving outwards towards the left. That inscription belongs on the right.

This is a 4th century coin of Theodosius I.

I found this coin in an uncleaned lot.

being a hammered coin I believe (maybe screw press) when they struck there die it skipped and they hit it again I asume, does that sound right, I just wanted you to post the info for people my self included that dont know much about ancients so thank you for the info

That's correct. Apparently they were minting these things so quickly that mistakes like this aren't uncommon...
