Wow looking at the posts, my collection is probably very small. I got around 300 coins.

The bulk of my collection resides in an underground bunker no less than 50 miles from my residence. I keep the change jar at home.
oh...Did I mention my itchy trigger finger?

That could be a good thing, it probably just means you have more focus that most and just collect what you like instead of keeping everything. The bulk of coins I own to me is nothing but pocket change but my grandfather thought enough about it to put it aside for some reason and I just can't get rid of it for that reason. I don't really consider what he did as collecting, it was more of hoarding

I've parsed mine down over the years to about 80 nice coins and about 500 miscellaneous. Currently helping my son work on his world coin collection. He's trying to get 1 from each country listed in the 1900 to Present Krause book. It's proving to be a challenge finding some of them...

About 6000 coins cataloged in 15 binders. Probably another 1500 waiting to be cataloged and in mint/proof sets. There are also 100 or so tokens and medals. Many of my coins are taken from bulk lots and not worth much, but that doesn't matter to me.

300 coins but soon 370 because my dad's friend has some useless ( to him) coins hopefully nice old Wheaties. That is counting the ones I have in my 2x2's and the 2x2's are in pages sized for coin in 2x2's ... never mind that. Well every one has at least 1000 up coins, mine is one of the smallest.

Quote: Yeah carl, not much crime in my area because 50% of the people have a rifle in their truck and 95% have a firearm (usually more then one) at home :)
Unfortuately criminals also have guns and some rather really big ones. Many have fully auto ones that rival our armed forces. Also, with people blating away all sorts of personal info on Facebook, now even easier to track down everything they need to know.

1199. as to value, not nearly as much as my fellow forum brothers and sisters. I have maybe 2 oz of silver in all of those LOL Quote: Unfortuately criminals also have guns and some rather really big ones. Nelrak: doing the same thing for myself and it is quite challenging when you get down to those last 20 or so 'coin issuing entities' listed in Krause
