Who is responsible or should I say who has all of the 2009 dimes and nickels? I am going to give them a call....unless someone has already tried.

Sheesh! I talked to the operator and she connected me to the mint, from there I got a recording so I left my name and number and a message asking where are the 2009 nickels and dimes. They should me calling me back any minute. Yeah right.

I know I could buy them but would much rather find current years in circulation, I was thinking about buying the P,D and S mint set this year that should cover it. I like getting a few nice ones to keep from circulation, I like to pay as close to face value as possible. Maybe I will call again today. What gets me is all the roll searchers that cant even find them.

The fact that the roll searchers can't find them indicates that the Fed has not released them yet, at least not the D mint coins. Some of the P mint coins have been released but not a lot. The fact that there are still a lot of older circulated coins that have been dumped into circulation and they are floating back and forth from the banks to the fed has been keeping the new coins just sitting in the vaults. The Fed only sends out new coin when their supplies of circulated coins are exhausted.

Us roll searchers are working hard at depleteing the current supplies. Been digging through them since August and only 2009 coin I have found was a half dollar. I mainly only do halfs and nickels. Still no 09 nickels.

coinstar machines don't help also. They make it to easy for people to dump that jar out at home more often. Thus feeding the banks so they don't need to order any new ones.

I am thinking that with the mint sets .. they will be with a satin finish .. and with PCGS giving satin finish coins their own grade type. Then the Business strikes will be much harder to find (in higher grades if at all) and have more value.

I didnt think the Denver strike coins had been released yet. I could be wrong, but I dont think I have even heard of one on ebay. Who knows what they would bring to the first person to list them!
