Absolutely worthless Thai baht but I'm just curious how the damage might have occured.

The coin looks well worn but there's a raised circle of metal on both obverse and reverse. I've heard of how coins are sometimes used in certain engines but I'm no mechanic so I have no idea how or what kind of damage this would produce on a coin. Could this an example?

Almost looks like someone used it for a temporary motorcycle valve shim. A coin definately wouldn't be hard enough, and might distort. Don't take this as a definate though, just a guess.

Maybe someone placed a washer either side and squashed it in a vice. Why they would do that, who knows.
