Found this one yesterday. There is an issue with the B and the are in LIBERTY.Upper right side inside the letters. What do you all think it is? Thank you very much,

John, this appears to be an fairly early die state. The beveled letters show quite clearly. I believe this to be a plating issue just like the mintmarks. I'm no pro, it's just my humble opinion.

Somewhat correct - It's more of a strike pressure issue, so I've been told. This is yet another of the many different things I have grown to accept as extremely common and have never really spent a lot of energy to figure out its exact cause. It's common, pass over it...that's the easy way to handle it.

The hard way? Not sure I can give you the correct answer, except to tell you it's not something anyone collects because it's very common.
