seems to be cleaned at some point but it doesn't change anything for me.

High AU details but the reverse corrosion hurts, the rim looks pitted

Wow...the detail on Lincoln's portrait is amazing!
I wish our cents today used the original portrait.

Your wish might come true - kind of. Next year Lincoln's portrait will be re-worked to be closer to the original.

As to the OP's coin: $3 is a great deal! Put it in an old Whitman album and nobody will see the reverse! [just kiddin' ya]

I agree with biokemist that slight wear is evident but it's no grade. Obverse detail is great and it's worth twice what you paid.

It's AU/cleaned/damage....but $3 is fair.

Don't get too excited about the detail. New, more detailed dies were implemented in 1916 so this level of detail is the norm.
