Found my first defaced coin.

Finally!!

Must of come from some Yank passing through, for I know, nobody here in the Bible Belt would risk the wrath of the Lord defacing Mr. Lincoln. Still looking for those vise jobs, gold plated or mercury coated coins. Boy, those good ones are hard to find.

Looks like you found 1 of 50 states! I have the complete counterstamped set given to me in the mid 70's.

That is a very stylized shape of Iowa though. Oh, now I see, it is sideways - west on top! By the way, I live around the bottom of "I".
