Say I'm well-off. Not "rich," but comfortable. I'm also either disabled, or just too darn lazy to go to the bank to pick up boxes of coins to go through. Can one order boxes, in any quantity, from Brinks as a private citizen?

In a word, no. Armored carriers only deal with commercial accounts involving large quantities of cash. Besides, nothing says "security risk" like a Brinks truck parked in your driveway

You could also pay one of your neighbors to run to the bank for you, hypothetically

All kidding aside...very true. Nowadays, with financial institutions on almost every corner...it isn't very difficult to get coins. I'm a cent-searcher, and most of my friends and family know it. I just ask 'em to pick me up $25 worth now and again.

I agree, all you need to do is ask a friend or family member. I have made a few bucks on coins found in circulation myself, and both friends and family know it, so they are looking at their coins. Just ask someone to pick you up some. Every so often, I ask my wife to pick me up a box of quarters - and she doesn't mind - because it means I'm 'canceling' - 'boys night out'.

Rest in Peace
