I finally got around to taking pictures of a 1906 cent that I bought in the recent Goldberg auction. It is in a MS-65 Red NGC holder. I am guessing that PCGS will cross it at MS-64 Red. I think it has a couple of hits too many for PCGS to grade it 65. 1906 is a very difficult and under-rated year for cents in high grade. Not many made the journey without getting banged up a little. P.S. I hate the newer NGC holders with the plastic prongs. http://www.victoriancent.com2011 & 2025 Fred Bowman Literary Award Winner, 2020 J. I am happy with the coin and it is not going anywhere right now. They are all for sale eventually. :)

Beauty about the holder.. To me it draws the focal point of the coin away to the prongs..

Great coin--it speaks for itself, those printed "grades" don't matter to me.

papeldog,
No re-punched digits. It's just the light shining off the beveled edges of the numerals.
