1834 Bust Half Dollar Grade? ... Not 1934 Doh!

TNG Bedrock of the Community United States 10284 Posts	Posted 11/29/2009 8:12 pm I just bought two raw coins, the first is a 1834 Capped Bust Half. I don't mind it being dark, since so many were copies and so many are cleaned, I wanted an original type coin. It was graded by the seller but I want others opinions. I looked at a lot of these over the past week and this one seemed to be about the best I could get for the money. Whatcha think? Thanks. The slight scuffs on face and the lack of detail in lettering in PLURIBUS keep it from VF-35. Seller said: 1834 Bust Half Dollar Nice VF O-102 R.1 Great Color This nice original 1834 Bust Half Dollar has nice eye appeal, along with great color and surfaces. O-102 R.1.
