Hi Everybody,

I have these Bicentennial medals from my dad's collection and I was wondering if anyone had some info on them and what they're worth. I can't find any like them after searching the net.

Unfortunately the Franklin mint among many other companies made these types of coins over the years. They were aggressively marketed as limited investment opportunities for long term.

This is a prime example that even 30+ years after minting they are probably valued still UNDER the original purchase price.

Values would largely be dependant upon collectors driving the price otherwise to be treated as basic bullion bars. Since they were so aggressively pushed on the collecting market at the time as investment, very little ever saw any wear or damage. Most all surviving examples are still in package like yours shown making them still an easy to obtain set if desired.

I see some of the bronze at shops pop up from time to time for 4-10 dollars and the silvers at right around 20. Never seen them in high demand.

Sorry I cant be more helpful with information about the series.
