I received a handful of those and have two questions.

1. There are quite obvious differences in how the date looks. What would these characteristics qualify as? Varieties? Would you keep them all?

1992 / 25 kopeks:

1992 / 10 kopeks:

1. line at the bottom of "1" reaching to first "9". This is no die crack, since this style is repeated on different coins, like the 25 kopek shown above, or the 5 kopek of that year.

2. no line

3. no line, thick 9's, blunt-ended and kinda square "2"

2. Krause shows a 15 kopek coin. Have you seen it? I have not, it was not in this lot brought from Ukraine, it's not at our local auctions, it's not at ebay, it's not even listed as circulating on the Ukrainian bank website. My old Krause lists it (KM#5, 5a), two dates (1992 and 1993, $9.50 and $6.50 in VF), but it has disappeared from the new Krause!

So, what's the deal with this coin? I'd really like to know!

Definitely looks like those are varieties of dies. In my Krause if you look at different pictures (diff. denominations) you can see diff. styles of dates. "Keep them all?" I would.
As for 15 kopiyok, your older edition jumped the gun. They are listed in the newer edition as patterns, Pn5 & Pn6, depending on the metal content.
