Found this 1971D Kennedy half roll searching this afternoon.

The Reverse is completely gone- hollowed out!

I guess someone was going to make another 2 headed coin and decided against it and got rid of it.

You can clearly see what looks like circular lathe marks on the inside reverse.
It weighs only 4.28 grams- way less than a normal Kennedy.

Nice educational coin.

Thank goodness at least this one isn't complete and ending up on E-Bay as a 'RARE" Double-Headed Coin that some poor sucker ends up buying for big bucks!

AHHHH, the younger days, bored and working in a machine shop, the things you could do......If it was done this way(milled out) the other half is in shavings.....
