1996 Lincoln W/O Copper Plating

here I a scan image of two 1996Lincoln's. one appears to bemissing the copper plating. I posted only th obverse, but the reverse is exactly the same. I didnt notice until I looked at th scans, but there might be the tiniest but of copper color just inside then rim. I doubt that there is anything rar about this coin, but I just thought I would share. how could the copper be removed after leaving the mint. thanks.

Looks to me like exposure to something ate away the copper bath. It doesn't look like it was struck without the plating.

I agree with Chuck. A dull, dark surface usually indicates the plating was stripped.
Error coin writer and researcher.

I agree with the above, take a look at CND's recent post about an unplated cent find. Notice that cent is bright and lustrous.
