just bought a roll of wheat pennies off e-bay and noticed that a on one of the 1941 S pennies the S is at about a 45 degree angle. I will be able to post pictures tomorrow. meanwhile though has anyone ever heard of one of these error types before?

Until 1990, the mintmarks were applied to the dies by hand so there is some natural variance in position. However, I cannot comment on your specific coin without pics.

Generally this means there's damage to the mintmark. Aside from that, it would likely be normal.
