I bought one about two weeks ago from Wizard Coin. At the time I bought, they were the cheapest I could find. I have purchased several books/etc from them and their prices are good and shipping is fast. I also have bought several from Collectons.com

If I can't find nice condition, used ones for half price at my local coin shops, I buy mine from http://www.valleycoin.com/...just got a shipment of 5 Dansco albums (plus other supplies) last week and everything arrived in great condition! I'll be ordering more in January after all of my holiday spending is over They have great discounts off of retail price and the flat rate, inexpensive shipping helps when buying larger amounts of items. Here's the one for Roosevelts...Silver and Clad together: http://www.valleycoin.com/product_i...ducts_id=729

I've bought a lot of Dansco's from Tradewinds and have always gotten excellent service.

Quote: And are there two albums one for silver other for regular? Nope. The entire Roosevelt series is in one album. As said above, there are two versions. One for just business strikes (7125), and another (8125) that includes the modern proofs (1968+) and silver proofs (1992+).

I made several comparisons about the TradeWinds Coin & Stamp Supply and Wizard Coin Supply. It seems the TradeWinds is the winner. I just ordered my Dansco 7070 and Lincoln Cent albums today from the Wizard. It appears that I am not a smart buyer.

If there are any coin shows in your area, go to them. Ask dealers what they do with old albums. Some time ago I did just that. Asked most dealers what they do with old albums. Many dealers buy collections in albums from people, take out all the coins, place in flips for selling at shows and discard the albums. So several dealers told me they would bring me them at the next show. At almost every show I get some and FREE. Naturally the types and brands vary but for the price, who cares. At one such show a dealer brought me 80 folders and Albums. Many Dansco's that time. At last Sundays coin show a dealer gave me 11 Albums. Whitman's were 1 Franklin half, 1 Washington quarter, 2 Indian cents. All the rest were Libray Of Coins albums. Merc. Dimes, Walker halves, Nickels, etc. ALL FREE. I seldome keep them all. Usually give many to people that sell at flea markets but that is always better than hearing about them being thrown in the garbage.

I bought my 8125 from vernon coin off ebay and received it in a timely manner and in great shape. Roosevelt dimes are a great collection to start. Here are some pics of mine to get you motivated!

Jokingjoker: You have two very beautiful albums. I just started sorting my Lincoln cents. I found a wheat coin - my first one.

Thanks a million, compared to some of the album and danscos others on here have, I feel mine are sub par but I am very proud of them. It only took less than a year to assemble those two. Next year I'm gonna start on Franklin proofs as I already have a few of them. If I can finish two albums a year I think I'm doing pretty good.

Nice looking Dime set!
Just curious did you get most of those from circulation or are they bought, I'm thinking about doing a High Grade set like yours but want to know if these nice examples can be found in circulation or would I have to pick them up from a coin shop.

I would say about 50/50 I originally started with all from circulation except the pre '64 coins, and would upgrade if I saw a better example in a shop or on ebay. Then I bought a nearly complete set off ebay and cherry picked a few off there. All the proofs and silver proofs came from cracked open proof sets.
