How is a dime minted? Or the obverse and reverse struck simultaneously?
Most off-center coins you see, both are off center. I saw one yesterday where it was just the obverse that was off, not the reverse?
How?

yes, they strike both sides at the same time, otherwise one side gets struck against a flat plate and the patern of that side becomes dull. some pics would help, and hopefully someone specalising in off center coins will help you.

That is what I thought. The coin does not belong to me. Hopefully, I will get back to take a couple pics within a couple weeks.

I see them quite often on modern dimes, but never as drastic as what you have shown. Very nice example.
