I am sitting here looking through rolls of pennies that I got at the bank yesterday. I poured a roll out on a towel and there are 3 Roosevelt dimes in it. Not bad so far, 2 wheats and 3 dimes.
Finding a dime in a penny roll is fun--but yesterday, my son found five pennies in a nickel roll. That was less fun (although I don't think he'd have minded if he had needed the dates).
I've had that happen many times too. Often they are dark, beaten up dimes. So the individuals rolling their coins are obviously not paying attention to what they are putting in there. This may be why there are still wheats out there today.
