Been trying to identify this coin for quite a while. It was found in an old box of Canadian and British Tokens in Canada. It measures approximately 33 mm in diameter. The coin is pretty worn, but hoping that maybe someone has come across something similar?

Could it be a Papal States 1 Baiocco copper? I think the detail that remains matches with KM111.1, dated 1801.

Good call, DL - I was looking all through my token books for it. It's definitely a Papal States baiocco, but it's a much better match for the 1816 type (KM 1279) - it doesn't have a broad denticled rim. Check this link to see what it should look like in better condition.

Indeed! I had my doubts about the type, now this one matches perfectly!
