I am usually the "it is your coin, do what makes you happy" guy, but please do not dip that coin. As others have said, sell it and find one you like. I say this because it is very easy to ruin a coin with dipping; it only has to be done for one or two seconds too long.

I've seen my share of AU+ 1928-P's that had much worse 'toning' than that nice coin of yours!

Coin dealers will put any higher-grade 1928-P in the case, even if it
sat in sulfur paste for decades and turned coal black....

I would be happy with it as it is!

Ahh good choice good choice, that is very nice in the the skin its in.

Glad it wasnt dunked. 30 yrs in an envelope is better then 30 yrs in the dirt lol

Wise decision ! I was 'so' worried that in your next post, you would state that you have got it all cleaned up now, and are in the process of drilling a hole in it so you could wear it as a medallion (or a 'sign', so to speak).
