I picked this up at a monthly coin club meeting for $80. To me it looks like a VF-30+. Your opinions? Thanks.

It looks like it will make EF-40 and I don't see any obvious problems. You might want to check the weight to help verify it is genuine since we have seen many examples of Chinese fake Morgans. If it weighs within a couple tenths of the correct 26.73 grams you can be confident it is real. I'd say you got a good deal for $80.

I agree it's a borderline VF/EF piece. $80 is a good price but that CC mintmark looks odd.

I'd be 99% sure it's genuine but take Jaobler's advice for sure.

Based on the amount of wear I see in the hair and on the eagles breast, I would grade it at VF-30, though their might be just enough detail to make VF-35.

I weighed it this morning and it came out to be 26.5992g. I'll post a pic of the mintmark if I can get my microscope camera working.
