I remember that same auction from 2 months ago, I was watching it.... It sticks in the mind because of the clock and the "hidden room"

That second link you provide Ratman is funny because he is admitting it is made up, but I'm sure people read right over that part and think the story is true! Here is the line:

"Here's a good metal detecting story you don't want to miss-- but it is just a story."

And at the end of same auction:

Quote:
It is sort of a risk on your part. But if you want the fun, then go ahead and bid. Well that's the end of our metal detecting story. Is it true?

The S/H will probably cost you more than the coins you receive are worth. (check his negative feedback).

I learned this little trick for checking negative feedback here on the forum.

When you get to the feedback page of the seller you want to check feedback for....
click behind the M in .com, backspace, then type in .uk ( turning it to .co.uk) then click enter
This will enable you to click on the # of negative or neutral feedbacks and see them without having to look at the positives.

If the people bidding on this guys auctions did this, they would never buy anything from him

That's a really cool tip Ratman! I had no idea the UK version of ebay worked that way. I'm going to do that all the time now!

I've seen tons of his auctions on ebay,i think some of the cigar boxes are worth more than the junk inside them.
