I agree!! I see rolls like this on ebay all the time. They claim to be unsearched but clearly have been opened. I wish that ebay had a "coin watchdog" that would remove listings like this. Dealers like this are the ones that give all of us coin collectors a bad name.

I wouldn't buy nothing off this guy to save my life. (487 negative feedback in the last 12 months) If you look at some of his positives...they aren't too impressive either. When I was new to ebay (10 years ago) I searched for "lots", "estate" and such. This guy was always all over the place pushing some of the same alleged " Jars of old coins found", "cigar boxes of old coins found", this one is interesting " Old Fort Knox banks found (in a desk) while metal detecting". 10 years later and he is still getting peoples hard earned money with the same scams. As for "unsearched", the popular consensus here on the forum is that you will find NO such thing on ebay (and even less likely from this guy). As a side note, alot of his feedback from his lot deals states that he sends pocket change as rare coins. Also sends replica coins.

I see a lot of these on ebay and think to myself.....Huuuum.....I wonder how all those shotgun rolls end up with a IHC and/or a 1909 Lincoln on the ends . Then poor fools buy them thinking hey are getting a deal. I would bet that the other 48 coins in the roll are all common date 40's and 50's. When Yahoo had their auction site I would buy "unreached" wheat's buy the pound from one dealer out of Roanoke Rapids, NC. This I can tell you, he did not search his coins. I know this because I won and auction once for three pounds of wheat's. Since I would be traveling his way the next week he allowed me to stop by his house and pick them up. That was a bit of a mistake time wise because I spent about five hours there and about $200 more on inventory he had that was going up on the block. I even helped him weigh out coin for auction. He had several buckets full of these things and would just reach in and grab a handful weigh them out and package them up for shipping. If only there were more like that.

I think he means unsearched since he put the roll together. Last year (2009) he had over 40,000 positive feedbacks and almost 500 negative feedbacks. He has over 100,000 positive feedbacks so he knows what he is doing, good or bad. CAVEAT EMPTOR! Happy New Year all !

If you look far enough back you will find my name on his list, I bought a coin from this seller and returned it.
it was a 1918 walker, that turned out to be cleaned if my memory serves, I was building a birth year set for my Fathers year.
this was a few years ago and he was nowhere close to as big as he is now.

I notice several comments saying a number of the coins are fake. It is one thing to sell "unsearched" rolls that have one or two older coins and the rest more recent. That may be misleading but is pretty standard on ebay. But including fakes is outright dishonesty.

It could be people bid just on what they saw... After all, on one end is an 1886 Type II--which is a lower mintage coin at 3.6M. But I wonder if the seller knew that? $10 could be OK for those two...

He states in his auctions that there are copy coins in the amazing recently discovered "found" lost treasure. I can't believe people buy this crap. This is one of the ones that you really need to put on your high topped boots for! But people keep buying into it. (If you notice he mentions copy coins and you should be able to pick out the ones you will receive) http://cgi.ebay.com/ALLIS-CHALMERS-...OM_W0QQitemZ a href= https://www.coincommunity.com/go/link.asp?target=https://www.ebay.com/itm/-/370314195920 target= _blank rel= nofollow 370314195920 /a QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item56387233d0

Here's a comment I found in the feedback, it was a positive. 'I guess "as described". "Impressive" is a bit strong. Must be an AD EXEC' If this is a positive, what does it take to get a negative? Based on this, I'm guessing that as a rule, many people are very hesitant to send a negative, which really defeats the purpose of the feedback system.

wow.....that's terrible. I wish there was something that we could do to get this guy off of ebay.....but sadly, I'm sure there's hundreds like him out there, preying on newbies and the uninformed. It's purely evil, in my opinion.

He's the one who sells the coins slabbed as "INB" (International Numismatic Bureau). We get people here all the time asking if the slabs are legit - they are only legit if you consider over-graded pocket change a good deal.
