The last photo shows the "D" clearly. That's an excellent photo. Weak "D" from what I can see.....

it was so hard to get that faint d to show. I can only see it with perfect lighting and a large zoom lens as pictured. Bherring, is it possible to have a no d hear at all? Does the no d always have a strong reverse? With such a huge price difference between the two I don't want to spend the money to authenticate without knowing for sure.

It might be a weak D, definately not a plain since you can see a trace of the D. To me it looks like a worn die pair 1 coin. Super GREAT coin...I love it!

great link BadThad! The difference between the no d weak reverse (mentioned by breed) and the weak d weak reverse as you suggest is $300.00 on the PCGS price guide. What is everyones estimate for it's value? Would this coin grade with all the damage to the back?

The damage isn't too bad for a well worn coin.

My guess at the value would be $15 if it goes as a '22-D. If it is a "Weak D" then around $50.

Could that have been a "D" and someone attempted to remove it? At first glance it sure looks like a NO-D.
