I recived a series 1950D $10 bill at work yesterday, normally I would keep it but its in hevily circulated condition. sorry dont have pics but there is a tear in the middle that someone put tape over and its just overall beat. question is could it still hold collecter value in that condition or should I go spend it?

The tear would kill any collector value and even in reasonably good circulated condition, that note would not have much of a premium. A note with a tear is the equivalent of a coin with a hole.
