This variety is S-49 as I recall from the holder. I realize it is dark, which will make it even more difficult (probably even impossible).

It is dark, but even at that, it appears to be a very nice problem free coin. I don't see any corrosion or other distractions, and would consider this a way better than average F-12 from what I can see.

Weakly struck reverses are characteristic of the 1794 Large Cents. Yeah, I would only go as high as VG8. Nice early Large Cent.
