these are phone pictures but they actually came out pretty decent. In fact, the coin is a lot nicer than I remember it. Let me know what you gentlemen think!

Looks AU-50-ish based on these small images. I see light wear on Liberty's breast and thigh, the obverse rim and stars, and the eagle's talons. The photos don't show luster but there ought to be some based on the overall level of wear. The color looks good and I don't see any obvious sign of cleaning or other problems. Pretty nice!

is this the coin you were asking about that you said a buddy had for sale and that you were thinking about buying? I can't tell if the coin has luster, that is something you will have to judge by eye when you have the coin in hand. As far as grading it by wear and value I think the price you were quoted seems fair if the coin is all there and not flat looking like it has been over dipped or something, again can't really tell from the pictures

Brian, yes this is the coin in reference to on the other posting. The pictures are kind of terrible and don't really do the coin justice. Which means I should have come out pretty well! Once I get the coin in hand I will take some good pictures and repost them. Thank you, Neal!

Nice looking coin, detail looks AU-53 to me. The horizontal lines on the shield on the eagle look odd. Are they scratched?
Rest in Peace

Very nice coin. I love a higher grade Seated Liberty half. I had a nice collection of Bust & S.L. halves taken during a burglary many years ago. I was so heartbroken that I never got back to collecting them. I'm about ready to do so again after seeing your coin however.
