My son got me to start collecting Canadian cents, so that I'd have something to look for as he roll hunts. We get quite a lot of Canadian change here in Michigan, but even so, it's usually just two or Three Cents in each roll.

But I've been saving all the Canadian nickels, dimes, quarters, and loonies I come across, and a Canadian friend is coming to visit this weekend. Seven Canadian dollars from my change bowl will be swapped for 14 rolls of pennies from a Canadian bank. I think I might be completing my Elizabeth II cents this weekend!

I think it will be nice to have rolls with 45+ Canadian cents instead of the 2 or 3 I usually see.

I'll keep that in mind, although I'm going to continue building my set from circulation for the time being.

I didn't finish my Elizabeth cents, but I did find a couple of George VI cents that I needed, and upgraded some weaker specimens.

I also found a couple of wheat cents that my son needed. We're satisfied.

i live in grand rapids michigan, and some 53 (fifth third) banks will order you foreign coins at the current exchange rates. and they do this for free. so right now you could have them order you 105 pennys for $1.

the one I know of for sure that will do this is 53 on alpine by best buy. dont know if any of you are from around here but they do it for free
