Hi. I found this note in between two pages between a library book that I borrowed.
I think it is German but I have no idea what it is.
Can you please tell me what the note is and what is its value.

It was printed for use in the parts of Poland/Russia occupied by Germany during WWI. It's denominated in Russian "kopeks", rather than German pfennigs. Posen, the town named as redemption depot, is now known as Poznan, in central Poland.

It might be listed in the Pick special issues catalogue; I'll try to look it up later tonight, if no-one else has.

Found it; it's actually listed in the "regular issues" Pick (Volume 2), under Germany - Occupied Territories - WWI. Number P# R121, in my very very old Pick catalogue. There are four varieties listed; this one is either type C or D; both had a CV back in 1986 of $4 in VF.

Pick also notes these notes circulated in Lithuania until 1922.

Some translations:
"Darlenkassenscheine" = State Loan Bank currency note
"Ostbank fur Handel und Gewerbe" = Eastern Bank of Commerce and Industry

The three languages on the back of the note are, from left to right, Polish, Lithuanian and Latvian.
