Can someone help to Identify this coin with Spanish writing on it please.
The coin is bronze date 1870.
Approximate size & weight of an Old British Half Penny

Yes, it's a Spanish copper 5 centimos, 1870.

This coin was issued by the Provisional Government which ruled Spain after the abdication of Isabel II.
The coin can be used as a kitchen weight: it weighs 5 gram, which is mentioned by the text DOSCIENTAS PIEZAS EN KILOG. = 200 pieces in a kilogram
