Can anyone tell what the date is on this Morgan? Does the CC look legit? 83 CC maybe?

I have to agree that it looks like a 1882, but this is purely a guess.

I was thinking 1882 also .. I looked at my 1882 ... I think it looks like top of a 2

The mint mark positioning says it is not 1893.

I think is clearly and 82, the last didget, is not a 3,,and the 3rd diget curves to much to be a 9

How do they get in such bad shape? Seems to me that there are so many out there in such nice shape that it's rare to see one so worn down...

I can't imagine anyone would fake a coin in this shape. Some cowboys in the wild west must have bought a lot of whisky and played a lot of cards with this one!!

the last number looks like an 8 to me. ...if you look at the top left of the number, it never stops. ...everything flows together as an 8 would.
