i found this in pocket change yesterday.
I just thought that the horse and the rider was just wear. but then I looked closer and saw that circle around it. (that is a full circle you just cant see the other half because of the picture) and I thought it was a Grease Filled Die that struck it. so I brought it here for the experts to see.

Sometimes concentric circle like marks of that type are imparted on a coin by a rolling machine. That may be what caused this. It's definitely post-mint damage in my opinion. I'm no expert though. Wait till the pros weigh in on it.
Rest in Peace

The horse and rider look fully struck to me. That is the design. It wasn't a very nice design in my opinion. I agree with coinseeker about the circle. It is just damage.

The design is not worn, the Bucking Horse and Rider silouette is the iconic state symbol of Wyoming. You can find it in use throughout the state and even on the vehicle license plates.

As for the circle mark, it was caused by a counting/rolling machine as mentioned.

Yeah...it's not SUPPOSED to have any detail. And yes, the concentric scratch is from a rolling machine. It's a normal, damaged coin.
