other is 1983 d

The '20-D looks interesting,i see a notch at the bottom serif.The '83-D looks normal to me.

the 83 there is a vertical bar to the west of the mint mark

The first one is a minor RPM. The second is one that would take more than one lighting angle to tell much of anything.
