2x2 holder says VF. Picture from ebay site I crop looks fine. Althought I believe it was cleaned.

Is that a rim Cud around 1 O'Clock on the reverse?

It looks like a solid VF to me although there may be some small rim scrapes on the lower obverse. It does have a rim Cud on the reverse.

VF25 or maybe even 30. The seller's VF grade was accurate.

I think it is a high grade VF coin (VF-30) as all the vertical lines on the reverse are entirely visible and distinct. Also, the 1918-D often has a weak lower diagonal band, and this one is nice. I think that might just be part of the cardboard 2x2 on the reverse...although its hard to tell from the pictures.
