Been meaning to ask you guys this for a long time, DO any of you believe in conspiracy theories that are somehow related to money, or money related to conspiracy. I dont know if you understand the question hopefully yes. I actually do believe that there is something going on because all the unusual things I see on money are most likely there for a reason. ex: owl, the eye pyramid, and the jewish star are all on the dollar bill. They must mean something, I have an idea I wont say it though its most likely inappropriate. So would you please just write what you think. Thank you

I do enjoy the movies that promote these theories "National Treasure", "The Da Vinci Code", et al. But I don't subscribe to any conspiracy theories. The symbols you mention were popular at the time they were entered into designs and perpetuate today due to their enduring acceptance as signs of strength/stability. p.s. - But I have bought a lot of ammunition lately.

I don't believe in conspiracy theories but several of the founding fathers of the US and several presidents were Freemasons.
I believe the following persons were Freemasons.
George Washington James Monroe Andrew Jackson James Polk James Buchanan Andrew Johnson James Garfield William McKinley Theodore Roosevelt Howard Taft Warren Harding Franklin Roosevelt Harry Truman Gerald Ford
I also believe the following founder fathers were Freemasons.
Ethan Allen - Mason Benjamin Franklin - Mason John Hancock - Mason John Paul Jones - Mason Paul Revere - Mason George Washington - Mason
So it does not suprise me that you can find symbols associated with Freemasons on the dollar bill.
I also agree with SeatedNut about how these symbols were in mainstream use and were normal for them to be adopted to show the strength of America.

Well ok for example owl might mean intelligence, pyramid with the eye also might mean that everything is under the sight, but how about THE STAR OF DAVID what does that mean. Why not a cross or Star and crescent? When I read these comments I truly see you as naive and you probably see me, no offence of course.

You do know that the reverse of the dollar bill features both sides of the Great Seal of United States which was first used in 1782 and was first on the dollar bill in 1935.
I don't think the 13 stars are the Star of David.

This makes interesting reading: http://msgboard.snopes.com/cgi-bin/...t=000289;p=0There's also a way to fold a 20 dollar bill that will show the twin towers with smoke and flames (and the pentagon on the other side) ( http://www.conspiracies.net/), but does that mean the designers of the bill planned it? Sometimes it depends on what you WANT to see, and how you can 'fold' something to make it appear real.

Here's an earlier thread about some of the "unusual things" on the dollar note, including the "secret spider". Quote: ...because all the unusual things I see on money are most likely there for a reason. ex: owl, the eye pyramid, and the jewish star are all on the dollar bill. They must mean something... No, they don't "have to" mean anything. A dollar bill doesn't "have to" mean anything other than a dollar. While the Great Seal depicted on it is itself full of symbolism put there by the people that designed it (such as the incomplete 13-step pyramid and the all-seeing eye), the rest of the ornamentation on the dollar note is just that - ornamentation. Please note: if this thread becomes too "non-numismatic", it will get shifted to the General Discussion forum.
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis

No, it really has nothing to do with the Star of David but it does have everything to do with the founding of the United States and the original 13 Colonies, i.e. 13 stars. The dollar bill reverse dates to 1935 but that design is the original Great Seal of the United States, it was created in 1782 so it certainly has nothing to do with Israel or Judaism. Six-sided stars are found throughout US coinage- Classic Head to Braided Hair Half Cents and Large Cents; Trimes(major design feature); Shield and Liberty nickels; Draped Bust, Capped Bust, and pre-1860 Seated Liberty half dimes; Draped Bust, Capped Bust, and pre-1860 Seated Liberty dimes; 20 Cent piece; Draped Bust, Capped Bust, Seated Liberty, and Barber quarters; Flowing Hair, Draped Bust, Capped Bust, Liberty Seated, and Barber half dollars; Flowing Hair, Draped Bust, Gobrecht, Seated Liberty, Trade, and Morgan dollars. See a trend there? No one has ever accused a coin of carrying the Star of David so it is equally ridiculous to make that accusation of the One Dollar note.

Good post biokemist6...One only has to understand a little history about symbols to know that a "conspiracy" on our money is nonexistent.

Here is some more proof of a vast Jewish conspiracy: This one even has George Washington's bust on it!

Our unconscious bias leads us to find patterns whether or not there are any patterns to be found.

No one wants to agree with you about the conspiracy but they all know it is sort of true. Just don't want to admit that. For example if you look at the reverse of the dollar bill you see that Pyramid. This is forced on us by the Eyptions with the usage of Tana leaves boiled in water during the engraving process. That eye on top of the Pyramid? Put there by your wife and it has a tracking device in it so she can see where you spend all your, and hers, money. Notice all the Latin words on our money. Now it's the Romans that want us to remember how they beat the Eyptians. See all those signatures on the front. Just political payola. The more you pay, the more your signature appears. So many things about our money that people just won't say. Eventually Kevin Trudo will have a book on all this.s
