The medal is self explanatory but try as I may to find any thing online as to who what and why I have come up empty handed. Medal is silver, weight 27.2 grams and size is 40.13mm. Any info is appreciated..

From Jeff Fournier's book, Ontario Municipal and Commemorative Medals it is listed under the city of North Bay and issued in 1967 by William Cole. It was issued in nickel silver, bronze and silver. Mintages are not known. As it says on the medal, it was minted by Canadian Artistic Dies.

chequer.. This would be the nickel - silver one then as the silver would probably be at least 32 grams. Thanks for the info..
