Green=bad. Research the topic on this forum, and get that coin into acetone stat.

Then post full-face pics, and we'll play.

Thanks!

In acetone right now.

Question:

Can you soak more than one coin at a time in a jar with acetone or is it recommended to just place one at a time?.

Every one has their own way of doing this, I like to do some that are heavy in organic matter, more than one at a time, then a good rinse, distilled water I find the best, then if needed place one coin at a time, from that batch in a small "baby food jar", with some fresh acetone for a day or so, and pat dry, do not rub, and wala, presto, you are done.Do not re-use the old acetone!!It is then contaminated.

I am sure more members have other ways to achieve to same goal, a coin free of organic matter as best as you can get besides having it done professionally.

This I only use on silver coins, copper, I am not sure of the results, maybe others will have better advice, good luck, Mike....
