Another recent purchase. Received the coin today. I've attached the pictures from the auction. Wondering what grade it would be.

The pictures below are taken at 10X and I was wondering whether the scratches you see are due to cleaning?

This is the picture that I manage to take at home. You'll see a piece of hair on the reverse.

Thank you for your opinion.

I have one of these babies. Actually its my uncles from a big collection he has. Hopefully he will give it to me lol. The design on it is so intricate and amazing. A beautiful coin. I think I have the same year. May I ask how much you bought it for?

Wheather cleaned or not it is a good looking coin. I would say it grades between MS61 and MS63.

I am going to go out on a limb here and say I dont see anything that jumps out at me and says cleaned to me, I could be wrong but I just see one line and with cleaning you would see alot of lines going in the same direction

I paid $157.50 + $6 s/h.

I thought it would grade at least a MS63. Did I pay too much? Seller has a 5 day return policy so I still have time.

I made a big mistake when I bid on another Texas Commem at heritage which I was very sure I will be outbid but no one bid on it and I ended up buying it. Will post picture when I receive it. Now I have 2!!

you know I have done the verry exact thing before on ebay, I bid on three different itmes (all being the same date and grade)just knowing I would probably get outbid on atleast two if not all three (my bid wasnt that strong) and low and behold I ended up having to pay for all three. I just took them and picked out the best looking one for the grade and sold the other two back on ebay, I think I lost money on one and gained a little on the other, so I guess I broke about even. Since then I have not bid on the exact same two items at the same time (unless they were different VAM's or something)since that happened

If I were to send this for grading, should I send to NGC or PCGS?

I'm looking to sell this coin. Should I have it certified before listing on ebay? I don't know any local dealers.

I would love to keep it, I have another Texas commem in MS65 and I could use the money to to buy coins for my type set. I really do feel bad about selling it and I'll end up loosing money.
