I am thinking of purchasing an American Eagle coin from gainsvillecoins.com. I am considering either an NGC MS 69 or a 70. Does the rating matter for a 2010 Eagle?

Thanks,

Joe

Thank you. What I meant to say is does the difference in rating matter?

most of them should grade pretty high because of the way they are minted. in my opinion it wouldn't be worth the premium for a 70 over a 69 unless you are building a top registry set but that is just my opinion. you should be able to get a 69 for about what a raw one would cost also, if their price is much more than a raw one you may want to check elsewhere

The 2010 Silver Eagles are a very nice looking coin. I should have purchased a rated one. I went to my local coin shop for a pack.

I paid $20.25 for my 2010 ASE at a coin show and sale. Thought that was a pretty good price.

I got my coin today. It is a gold AGE MG 69 Early Release. https://www.gainesvillecoins.com is a great site. It looks perfect to me (the untrained eye). I paid $20 per ASE on Saturday. Should I try to have them rated?

I havent bought any recently, but I have bought several from gainseville coins. I purchased ms69's, I would not pay the premium for the 70. I have been pretty satisfied with gainseville coins.
