Here's one odd-ball from that guys collection . Now, at first, it seems to be post mint. But take a closer look. It is as if the the metal was piled up but not some odd metal flow. In the front of the 'front leg' and where the hooves should be. And the face is dripping off. All while enjoying the tall grass.
what do the top dogs think?
Oh, if and can aynyone put up a pict of a Buffalo Proof? I have alot from this year and some are very smooth and shiney... Thanks, I appreciate the effort.

There is no visablity to the possibility that the front legs were ever there and then removed somehow! all the "Weird" going on is seems to be how this one was supposed to be. Ill get a' pic 'up close of the areas that truely seem to be calling for attention. And speaking of attention, Check out the next post about "Why" the buffalo don't roam anymore! You'll get a good kick out of this one! !

this is just plain ol post mint damage here. People do allot of weird things to coins and it doesn't make them worth any more and actually makes them worth less because anything that happens outside of the mint is just damage and a damaged coin doesn't have much place in a experienced collectors collection unless its a rare date or a very special type of variety/error before the damaged occurred

Damage damage damage Joe. I really do hope one day you find something, but you need to learn the differences between post mint damage and an error or variety.

As a note, the stories that are going along with your pictures make no sense nor are they needed. Some have questions inside of them, some don't. It seems like we are getting pictures of everything that you have lying around, and some don't even have a reason for being posted. This is an Error/Variety section. if you just want to post pictures of a coin, post it in the appropriate section.

Also, post your pictures and ask what you want clarification on, it's that simple. Also, make your title correlate to what you are posting or what you need help with. Thanks.

Just to let you know "smooth and shiny" usually means "polished" not proof which would also be considered Post Mint Damage!

Kind of looks like a start of a hobo nickel trying to make a woolly mammoth out of it?
