Probably should run this thru the acetone before putting away.

Does acetone remove the green crud all together or just kill it and keep it from spreading?

Jasper, the acetone, as I understand it, removed the organics, finger oils and such. Does nothing for the green meanies. I have had some success freezing in distilled water and thawing. Seems to lift off some of the big stuff. Have also tried Badthad's Verdi-Gone on coins of lesser value and it does work fairly well. Have not had the guts to try it on anything expensive, though, Thad has and has posted his results. You might try to find his posts in the archives.

More, most have gone to xylene in lieu of acetone and I do not know why. Maybe someone will enlighten us.
